Cena con el vampiro, Lamberto Bava
Este telefilme italiano de terror de 1988, titulado originalmente A cena col vampiro, pertenece a la serie de producciones antológicas de televisión denominada Brivido Giallo. La trama sigue a cuatro jóvenes artistas, tres mujeres y un hombre, que resultan seleccionados en una audición realizada por el reconocido director de cine de terror Jurek. Tras obtener el puesto, los elegidos son invitados a pasar la noche y cenar en la gran mansión de campo de su nuevo jefe para discutir los detalles del proyecto.
Durante el desarrollo de la velada, la situación cambia cuando el anfitrión revela abiertamente su verdadera identidad como un auténtico vampiro milenario originario de Mesopotamia. Jurek les confiesa que el verdadero motivo de la reunión no es otorgarles un trabajo actoral, sino utilizarlos debido a su pureza espiritual. El ser de la noche les impone el reto directo de encontrar la manera exacta de matarlo antes de que llegue el amanecer para terminar con su aburrida existencia eterna, advirtiéndoles que si no lo logran, él acabará con la vida de cada uno de ellos.
La película funciona como una mezcla de comedia de serie B, parodia de las convenciones clásicas del género y estética del subgénero giallo italiano. La dirección aprovecha los escenarios del Castillo Sammezzano en Florencia para recrear una atmósfera cerrada llena de persecuciones por pasillos oscuros. La obra destaca por la interpretación de George Hilton en el papel del refinado pero decadente chupasangre y por su enfoque desenfadado que transita entre el suspenso televisivo y el humor negro sin pretensiones.

Dissecting Table - Ultimate Psychological Description II
Very intense, fast-paced industrial with hard-hitting metal percussion and extreme metal vocals. At times, I feel this could have worked perfectly in a cool 80s action/horror movie, like Lamberto Bava's Dèmoni.
Oh, and it features Tatsuya Yoshida on a couple of nice live tracks.

Demons was a big hit when it was released in 1985. It only made sense for a sequel to get made as soon as possible, and it sure did. In Demons 2, the invasion of the demons happens in an apartment building and it's a pretty good one.
