(2017 Viki, 16 1hr eps)I watched because of the leads - loved him in "Mr. Queen" & her in "Business Proposal." (Seol In Ah from BP was also here). They came through for me!
It’s a high school enemies-to-lovers romance. There are a couple of swoon-worthy encounters, but nothing intense. The story is about corruption within a school & how it affects the students.
There's a cute 2nd couple. The wonderful side characters get their own little stories. These stories add up to seeing how various wealthy & poor parents support their children, whether with money, removing obstacles, self-sacrifice, or cheering them on. The contrast among the side stories is interesting & was touching enough to make me tear up a few times.
The ending was pretty well done & I am generally satisfied with the outcome.

Eulachacha Waikiki (Welcome to Waikiki / Laughter in Waikiki)
(2018 Netflix 20 1:05 eps)Some say this is the funniest series ever. I watched because I liked Kim Jung Hyun so much in Mr. Queen. It is funny. I did LOL several times, but much of the humor seemed silly & slapstick to me. The romances were cute at times and there was some character development. There are a couple of characters that I didn't like at first, but they grew on me. Some of their behavior was so childish it drove me crazy. It wasn't my favorite, but still decent. If you really like that kind of humor, you will probably love it. The baby is adorable. I doubt I will follow up with season 2.

Mr. Queen (2020 - Viki, 20 1hr 15min episodes)I really didn't know what to expect going into this drama. It turned out to be one of the funniest, sweetest, vicious, and intriguing dramas yet for me. It is hilarious, but I also cried! Shin Hye-sun is so good as a male chef from current times in the Joseon period - I don’t know how she did it, but it was totally believable. I did not like the King at first, but his character really grew on me. The chemistry between the leads is also great. It is such an original story I couldn't begin to guess how everything would resolve. The supporting characters were so good.
One of my favorites of all time! It has great music and beautiful costumes and scenery along with such an interesting story and superb acting.
