  1. I really like how Sentry has been moving to a more dense design; too few services, maybe Google Cloud Console being another example, embrace information density.

For more than a decade, it has felt as if that density was a problem—but as Edward Tufte long said, “Clutter and confusion are failures of design, not attributes of information.”

I hope that wherever a lot of information is available, we’ll start to see more of this again.

  6. Conclusion
    - #LLMs struggle with coherent continuations for relatively simple prompts, beyond the #ImplicitCausality bias
    - #InformationDensity of the prompt and decoding method impact text quality
    - Modifying IC prompts affects capture of IC bias, depending on decoding strategy; however
bias congruence doesn't guarantee higher continuation quality
    - Surprisingly low correlation between automatic metrics and human judgments, underscoring
#NLG metric challenges and caution in interpretation

  9. I think maybe I just hate #podcasts. I want to interact with the material, unmediated by #pseudoconversation. It isn't even just the low #informationdensity, it's also that I'm constantly distracted by #cringe.
