Today I was at a restaurant with a QR code on the table. You needed an app. I installed the app (very slowly because I'm in the basement and they have no WiFi). Then you have to pick the restaurant from a huge list. And when entering your order, you can't write notes (like no cheese on a burger).
I took the menu to the bar and ordered there. Fucking stupid.

Fucking "app culture" drives me crazy. I got asked to install a mobile app just to look at the itinerary and accommodation information for a trip I'm going on.
Why isn't it just a web page?
So obviously I said "fuck that noise, hold my beer", reverse-engineered the app, and re-implemented it as a web page generator. It does all the same things as the "app" except now there's no tracking, no ads, and you get all the Web's features "for free" (deep links, copy-pasting, search-in-page, printing, works on anything, etc.).

Seems that to share and/or use a #reticulum #rngit #git #repository immediately as similarly as possible to #Codeberg / #GitHub (know of it, find it, read it, obtain it) needs 3 prerequisites:
1) know of the repository somehow e.g. from a #nomadnet #page / #webpage / tip
2) running reticulum #rns >= 1.3.4
3) means to read nomadnet #pages (#Nomadnet , #MeshchatX .. )
& 3 pieces of info:

5) repo nomadnet #URL / page address

One #accessibility issue I mention frequently is web designers, presumably for aesthetic reasons, making low-contrast colour choices. It also frequently goes along with selecting a #font so small that only people with excellent vision (and no #presbyopia) can read them, even if the #contrast were higher.
Here's an example. I'm not pointing out the software in question, even though you could identify it easily, because this isn't a dunk on that project, specifically.
This is the reference #documentation for an API, a small excerpt from the navigation links that run down a column on the left side of the page. The #text is darkish #grey on a lighter grey background. The contrast is terrible, particularly ignoring the highlighted entry because that's bolded as the current selection.
If you have #cataracts or any other #vision problem, you're going to have trouble with this. But it gets worse.
That text is 7 pixels high. On my monitors, it's 3 mm high. Ridiculous. Note that if you have fine motor-control problems or use alternative input devices, these are also extremely difficult to click on.
Here's the kicker: for this site, I have Firefox set to #scale the text up to 133%. That 7 pixels / 3 mm is *after* enlarging it.
#Web folks, please try to remember that not everyone is a twenty-something able-bodied person with zero accessibility issues.

#Javascript or whatever it is can burn in hell. When a #webpage loads and elements shift around during loading, and I had clicked where I need to go already, but they shift right under my mouse and I end up on the wrong page, pisses me off.

I have never ever seen one that I would interact with voluntarily. From my experience:
- They are in the way & make me accidentally click and fuckup my "progress".
- I would bet that broken scroll on page can be attributed to those at least 50% of the times (when present).
- They are just darn ugly & annoying? IDK why would you give such a huge % of your #webpage estate to something that should, ideally, be handled on OS/browser level. -
