Gas stoves emit pollution into homes that can make people sick as well as contribute to climate change. The gas industry has resisted regulation with every trick in the book. What you should do now if you have a gas stove. “Air pollution is a leading cause of illness — from asthma1 to heart disease, stroke, lung cancer2 and, probably, dementia3. Indoor air pollution hasn’t received the same attention, even though it might cause almost as many deaths globally — 3.2 million in 2020, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), compared with around 3.5 million linked to polluted outdoor air.”

🤔 figured I should check our CO2 levels since we have a gas range. Ambient without cooking is in the 600s, vs 400s outdoors. We'll see how effective the exhaust is.
Looking up old studies shows how alarming elevated levels are:
"Harvard researchers ... found significant negative impact at 930 ppm."
"They found that, on average, a typical participant’s cognitive scores dropped 21 percent with a 400 ppm increase in CO2." -
Not sure who to credit for this one
Maybe the EPA?
