This recognition is not pessimistic. It is honest. If you look carefully, much of human struggle comes from resisting what cannot be prevented. We want permanence in what is #impermanent. We want certainty where there is uncertainty. We want people to remain as we remember them. We want our own bodies to remain unchanged. We want the world to fit our preferences. Grass withers, blossoms fall, I too am #impermanent, this walk is no different.I acknowledge my own #impermanence, not separate from the seasons or the passing of life. By saying “this walk is no different,” the act of walking itself is revealed as #impermanent, each step arises & vanishes. Nothing is outside this #truth. My #insight is that all things share the same fleeting #nature, equally so.

Here are some for you. I make these #altars or #mandalas all the time. Sometimes they have a #magic intent, usually though, they are to simply thank #mothernature and give her something #impermanent and beautiful back.
