Dear IceCubesApp team, I seem to have a persistent red dot 🔴 on my icon picture thingie and can’t find a reason why in any of the submenus or settings and whatnot.
Any ideas?
I will probably get used to it over time but would be nice to know whether it’s important….

Finally had to give up using #icecubeapp on my iPad, mostly because it just wouldn’t release resources. Using@ #IvoryApp now simply because it plays nice with everything else. (I have stagemanager turned on all the time.)

Käytän @MonaApp päivittäin. Se on tosi hyvä ja erittäin monipuolinen ja kustomoitavissa.

Testasin kumminkin huvikseni tuossa aiemmin IceCubea ja Mastodonin omaa OG appia.

Mastodonin oma appi oli aika kämänen omassa käytössä. UI ei ollut kovin nätti.

IceCubessa UI näytti oudolta suuremman fontin näkymässä. Ei selvästikään ole suunniteltu isomman fontin käyttäjille. Siinä oli mittasuhteet miten sattuu. Ja eikä myöskään ollut omaan silmään kovin esteettinen, vaikka näkövammainen olenkin.

Aika nopeasti kyllä noista lähdin juoksemaan takaisin Monan luo. 😂

Yksi ongelma Monassa kuitenkin on. Se kääntäjä ei suostu kääntämään pitkiä viestejä. Laitoin appiin DeepL kääntäjän käyttöön ja se oli tietenkin free, koska mulla ei ole siitä maksullista versiota. Joten lyhyet tekstit käännetään vain. Mutta hyvä puoli tuossa kuitenkin on, et ALT-tekstit kääntyy myös suomeksi. Pikkuvikoja.

@DerPitcher Ich bezahle auch für die #IceCubeApp um die Entwicklung zu unterstützen. Es sind Kleinigkeiten die den Unterschied machen. Würde auch keine Empfehlung aussprechen. Das muss jeder selbst testen und ich bin da der verkehrte Ansprechpartner. Bin zu unentschlossen. 😊 @Moorknipser

OK I really love @IceCubesApp but is there something like it for #Android as it's only for #iOS and I use @Tusky on android currently but out of all my phones I genuinely like my #iPhone experience the most because of #icecubeapp #mastodon #software

Installed and started using #IceCubeApp on ios. Liking it a lot. Remote Local Timeline is my favourite feature. Is it available only on this app or did I miss it in my previous ones?

Jeg tester Ice Cubes-app’en som et alternativ til Mastodons officielle app (efter udelukkende at have brugt denne siden april sidste år). Og … her efter 30 minutters brug kommer dommen: Ice Cubes er jo bare mega mego! Stabil, hurtig og super nem at navigere rundt i. Hurra! 👍 #IceCubeApp

Currently testing the new iOS app for Mastodon, @icecubesapp

So far so good. Nice colours for dark mode, an improvement in full black in MetaText. Translate is implemented which is a game changer for me.
