As simple as it seems: I gained better understanding for my new smart Home system by creating a few automations. It's kind of a relaxing thing between some not so #happythings

Recently, my team started growing, so all of a sudden it makes sense to organise regular team meetings, just like a grown-up PI. Our most recent meeting took place today and I felt so proud. What a nice bunch of people. And so many interesting research projects! 🤩

My daughter had an amazing time at the #NZjazzworkshop last week and I accompanied her to Wellington. So far we are home and both returning covid negative tests.
Managed to get some bake at home Pain au chocolat that the kids love - so special over Christmas breakfasts just got more special.

-Today I bought astronomy, physics and chemistry-themed cookie cutters for a wintery cookie decorating event I'm hosting for my peers!
- I learned about a huge spotify playlist of lesser-known Canadian musicians that I'm very excited to listen through.

It is necessary to „do something wrong with the #telescope sometimes“, otherwise it will happen with a bigger one 😂 Today I learned how to restart our telescope computer via the fuse box in case of accidental shutdown 🫣 A step closer to understanding the mysterious box underneath the telescope 🙌🏻
