A little update on the House Wren nest. The female has sat on her six eggs for a while now, and this morning, they started to hatch. The male is there to help. So far, two eggs are still there. The babies are tiny! The Bluebirds have not made another nest here but the female comes for mealworms, so they may be nesting nearby. #goodvibes #nature #nestwatch #Ostdrossel

There's activity in the nestbox that the Chickadees used. The #Bluebird babies fledged yesterday! It was a swift affair, they all pretty much went at the same time. I had some camera issues so I didn't post a lot of them, but I am very happy with how healthy and strong they looked. Hopefully, the family starts another attempt.

After some good breakfast and wing practice, the first Robin baby has left the nest an hour ago. Robins cannot fly properly when they fledge, so the young ones follow the parents around by foot for a couple of days, learning how to feed and survive. #birds #birdsofMastdodon #nestwatch #nature #Ostdrossel

A pair of #Chickadees has decided to make the green Twoholer a home and the female started building yesterday 😍 I have not really seen or heard a lot from the House Wrens so maybe they decided to go elsewhere this year. I do have a Wren guard ready, and I added a shroud to reduce the hole size so no larger bird can get in either. I have never seen Chickadees nest, so this would be delightful. #birds #nestingseason #birdsofMastodon #nature #birdwatching #Ostdrossel
