I did notice a few major bugs though, so I recommend staying on the previous stable release 1.2.10 just a little longer.
EDIT: problems seem mainly related to the unofficial Microsoft Store version. Watch out!

So my dad is trying to use #GreenShot instead of the #windows snipping tool... but when pressing print screen #Win11 refuses to release the printscreen button to other apps.

I was finally getting the hang of the ShareX / FileCoffee combo you'd so graciously recommended!
I recently discovered I still have a #Flickr acct and had used it with #Greenshot successfully

#ShareX can be a bit complicated to configure to my satisfaction, and it seems a bit buggy (recent ver update 15-16 i believe)It's nevertheless easy to realize how ShareX is an excellent go-to app for any type of "take my current display and share it in some manner".. with options!
I use it mostly for the Capture > Screen Recording feature as the after-capture thing ... busts my groove.It's pretty vast. So much to do w/ other projects, I hate to spend so much time on that sort of thing (configuring a screen cap software @[email protected] )
I'd share some of my custom "Image Effects". That's a lot of fun!
Is there a repo for sharing .SXIE files?

@KarlHeinzHasliP Kinda like any screenshot tool like #Shutter and #Greenshot does, but like with Audio just hitting i.e. CTRL+F12+R to start and stop?

Working on a blog post on a small free indie game. Played it a few times, it was fun! I figured I should get some #screenshots.
Played it a few more times, I enjoyed it. I tool screenshots using #Greenshot while playing. When done, I discover they're all of the title screen somehow. Argh.
So, I played it a few more times. It was a bit tiring. I took screenshots with #ShareX. When done, its screenshots, too, were unusable.
I recorded it using #OBS, which has a mode that's better at recording hardware acceleration, and got my screenshots out using #Shotcut. The game rasped against the inside walls of my brain while playing it.

Ich brauche so was wie #greenshot für #Linux (#Siduction, #Gnome) -> ein Tool um #Screenshot|s von Teilbereichen des Bildschirms zu machen.
Exakte Beschreibung, was ich möchte:
1. Druck auf [Druck]-Taste auf Tastatur
2. Ein Fadenkreuz erscheint, mit dem ich einen Bildschirmbereich auswählen kann.
3. Dieser Screenshot wird sowohl in die Zwischenablage gestellt, als auch in einem einfachen Grafikeditor geöffnet:
