@flipsideza
100% and I ditched them after several incidents. Somehow though, MyBroadband lists AfriHost as the best ISP year after year. Goes to show those ratings are either bought or fake and that MyBroadband opinions cannot be trusted. Same goes with Vodacom Business - sheer incompetence. -
@flipsideza same name - that's not a Rust-ism.
I first came across it in C; it's probably older than that.
Python has the `global` keyword to use a global scope var in a local function vs "shadowing" it with a local of the same name (check details in pydoc)
Using type hinting in Python can help avoid problems where a variable is reused for a different purpose and type, but it doesn't have fully immutable variables, unlike other langs

@mborus @flipsideza same here. I still have a handful of #AHK scripts in action. Do either of you see compelling reasons to rewrite/upgrade those? I looked briefly for a 'why v2 is better' post...

Sooo Google Zero is here! We knew it was coming though!

Any #houdini experts, know how to convert instanced objects to geo in a sop modify node? It seems to only out put a single version of the instance. I would like it to realise all the geo of the instancer and give me raw geo for the whole 'new' mesh.
We've built a tool that loads the instance object and loops through all the points and rebuilds it... but that seems overkill.

and just so you know... this site is completely wrong! There is only one Absa in the Western Cape that can do Passports.

Unsurprisingly the eHomeAffairs process for applying for a new passport has left me confused and worried that I will never see anything for my R600. Cant make a booking at Absa (no time slots) Apparently now I cant go to a Home Affairs office (coz paid with Absa) and now nothing to do I guess but hope I can get a booking tomoz? DHA arent answering thier phones! Sigh!
