This weekend #DimasMalay will be with us with some awesome Malaysian curry noodles - they sold out last time so come early!
A long time ago Steve from Bruhaha and Jojo from Dimas Malay were both in Bristol Punk Rock bands, so we've decided to pay homage to those heady days of travelling the country in a transit and have some (acoustic) punk rock for Saturday's #BruhahaBasementSessions with Benny Hayes (of Bristol punk band #Grebo) and Flunk, just some old guys doing some classic punk covers 👊

Wow, I'd completely forgotten about Ned's Atomic Dustbin. I was reminded today while reading Wikipedia articles on Pop Will Eat Itself and the short-lived grebo music genre.
About an hour ago I was #listening to their second album 'Are You Normal?', which I'm pretty sure is the one I owned on cassette tape in the late 90s;

This song has the swagger Oasis could only dream about, it had urgency and was delinquent. Perfect pop for the 17-year-old me. They never had another moment like this. They released an album in 1989 with a re-recorded version of this which was for some reason diluted down and sounded dull and bored. Shame.
