Anyone have any leads on a retailer of acorn flour in Canada? Like, we have so many oak trees, and I know it was a traditional ingredient for people here. It seems kinda bonkers that the only non-American retailer that I can find is Turkish.

Homemade chickpea flour (redux) and black bean flour! Made with the WonderMill Junior (hand-operated).

The only issue I've had is that sometimes the beans heat up and start gumming up the stone heads, so I loosen the second head and turn until the gunked up stuff comes out. Then I can break that part up by hand and feed it back to the mill. This definitely happens much more with chickpeas than black beans.

First meal of the day: pancakes scattered with a line of dried fruit, usually currants.

I can give up eating any other cakes, pies, pastries, but I cannot give up eating pancakes.
