A mi hijo se le ha muerto una de sus dos jerbas tras tres años con nosotros. Hubo llanto y crujir de dientes.
A ver como lo lleva la otra jerba (que seguramente era su hermana), porque a diferencia de los hámsters los #jerbos son animales sociables que no están hechos para la soledad.

Finally, I'm starting to get photos of the #gerbils. Midnight is difficult to get at the moment cos where she stands, I keep getting reflection from the glass tank.
Midnight is the black one. She has adorable little white stripes across her hands & a big one that goes down her front from her lip to mid belly. She's very sweet natured.
Mayar is the all white (well cream) one. She's very confident & independent.
Luna is cream with a grey splodge on her nose. She started off very timid. We didn't see her at all for the first 24 hours. Now she is full of confidence & a bit of an energetic troublemaker.

I think the #gerbils have settled in well. They're happy to come out to get food & attention. They are also happy to sleep out in the open as opposed to hiding under a ledge. Such tiny beings & yet so trusting of us ❤️

I love #gerbils. Every time we get some, I remember exactly why we should always have some. They're smart, cheeky, social, adorable, trusting, funny & just generally wonderful.
The fact that such tiny beings trust & want attention from enormous giants like us never ceases to amaze me.

My gorgeous new girls ❤ The first 2 are quite confident & friendly. The 3rd is super shy at the moment, so I've only just managed to get a photo of her & that was cos she was drinking.
#Gerbils are amazing little critters. I'm so glad to have them back in my life.
We've named them Midnight (the black one obvs), Mayar & Luna (she's the shy one)

We finally got some #gerbils yesterday ❤
There was a bonded pair & a single one. All female. Naturally, I took all 3 & will bond them. 2 against 1 isn't the easiest bond, but it's doable. And if it doesn't work, we can easily accommodate the single on her own or find another single to try to bond her with.
The bonded pair are cream/white colour & the single is black.
They are so adorable & 2 of them are very confident, & 1 of those is quite cheeky already.
We haven't named them yet & I have no real ideas yet. Toyed with rocks/minerals/mineraloids/gemstone ideas, but nothing has jumped out at me. Plus, that's more my #geology interest driving that, so I'm not sure my husband would be so keen.

We had planned to get #gerbils today, but my husband changed his mind cos he wasn't happy with the lack of knowledge the seller had about them. Whilst I agree it was the right decision, I'm really disappointed.
We've had gerbils in the past & they are wonderful animals. I think we will still be getting some, just not so immediately. Again...disappointing.
We have also enquired about a #rabbit. Waiting to hear back. It's a girl, which I think Fianna will be OK with & she's 5yrs old, so she'd be ideal.
