The Game .com was one of the first portable consoles to go online! 🌐 This 1997 add-on brought dial-up internet to Tiger Electronics' handheld console. You could surf the web, but it was text only! It was a bold step into the online world for gamers of the 90s! #ThrowbackTech #90sGamer #RetroGaming #Nostalgia #VintageTech #1990s #GameCom #TigerElectronics #RetroTech #InternetHistory

🎮🌍 The Tiger Electronics Game.com from 1997 attempted and failed to compete with the Game Boy. Today, it's known as an unsuccessful product, but its innovative features certainly deserve a mention:
☎️ It could be connected to a 14.4 kbit/s modem and used for email and text-based web browsing.
👈 It had a touch-sensitive screen with a resolution of 200x160, although not for every pixel but rather a grid of 12x10 fields.
