    Other options I might look into if Bear fails me:

    1. #FSNotes
    - Ticks boxes, but not as polished UI-wise as others. Still top contender.

    2. #iAWriter
    - Great for long-form writing, love the UI and fonts, but didn't feel right for note taking

    3. Combination of #Obsidian & iA Writer
    - Although I prefer non-electron apps, Obsidian is as good as they get. This post from @janpb gave me an idea to get best of the both worlds: mastodon.social/@janpb/1112659
