@fraggle it was fantastic! Had a #Freerunner and a lot of my early field surveys for #OpenStreetMap were made possible thanks to it.
Its ruggedness was incredible and it looked basically like new when I recently pulled it out of my "old hardware box", despite being subjected to quite some rough treatment throughout its lifetime.

Hat hier eigentlich noch jemand interesse an einem #openmoko #Neo #Freerunner (#GTA02)?
Ich hab hier noch eins rumliegen, das ich gegen Versandkosten an geneigte Menschen abgeben würde. Der Akku ist nicht aufgebläht, aber so am Netzteil hat das Ding erstmal nix gesagt. Der ist sicher tot. Ich weiß aber ehrlich gesagt auch nicht mehr, ob da ohne SD-Karte überhaupt was ging. 🙈
Der Weichmacher verlässt auch langsam das Gehäuse, also ggf. wirklich nur für Bastelzwecke… -
@m3ss3dupbytes @socialnetwork Io comprai pure il primo #openmoko ovvero il #neo #freerunner (per chi se lo ricorda, era stato il primissimo tentativo di telefono #openhw con #linux anni fa) e ho incredibilmente provato ad usarlo in real life... é stato un inferno, ma ho imparato un sacco di roba, e anche se è stato un progetto completamente fallimentare, sono orgoglioso e contento di aver partecipato in qualche modo.
