Este fin de semana vi el muy recomendable documental Sondtrack for a Coup D’Etat, y luego me enteré de la noticia de que el nuevo embajador trumpista del Imperio Americano en México es un «veterano» de la guerra sucia y la masacre en El Salvador y ex agente de la CIA. Eso habla de la política del Imperio Americano para con México, que será una de desestabilización e injerencismo, como ya ha dejado claro Trump en sus primeros meses de presidencia.
Ambas cosas me pusieron a pensar sobre la contrarrevolución permanente que el imperialismo occidental ha desatado contra los pueblos de América Latina, África y Asia. De cómo en casi todos los países de la periferia hubo levantamientos, guerrillas, movimientos de resistencia, armados o no, contra la expoliación y el control de los gringos y sus secuaces. De cómo en casi todos esos lugares la contrarrevolución triunfó, ya sea de forma positiva, con el aplastamiento de los insurrectos, o de forma negativa, con la corrupción de los movimientos y guerrillas, como ejemplifica muy bien el salvadoreño FMLN, que se mantuvo en el paradigma neoliberal cuando consiguió el poder por la vía electoral.
Sin embargo, esa contrarrevolución permanente se enfrenta a la dignidad, al deseo de vivir como personas, y no como cosas, como funciones abstractas destinadas a valorizar el valor, consumir y no pensar. Y tengo la certeza de que eso triunfará. Nuestro deseo de libertad, nuestro deseo de tener control sobre nuestras vidas, nuestro palpitante deseo de ser tratados como humanos. Y nuevos vientos volverán a sembrar la semilla de la insurrección.

On Friday, October 18 in El Salvador, a court acquitted six former guerrillas, previously members of the FMLN (Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front). Five of them are current environmental defenders, they denounce a political trial because of their commitment against mining. Prosecutors had asked for up to 36 years in prison for the 1989 murder of a woman they said was an “army informant.” The criminal case was dismissed on the basis of the statute of limitations and the judge decided that six of the defendants should be released immediately. The court in Sensuntepeque, 80 km from San Salvador, upheld the arrest warrants for two other suspects on the run.

On Tuesday, October 15, we culminated the celebration of the 32nd anniversary of the founding of our small community “Ángela Montano”, populated by demobilized guerrillas of our still unfinished revolution of the last century. We named our community after one of our heroines, murdered by the National Guard, as we also named the three streets “Comandante Susana”, “Comandante Dimas Rodríguez” and “Héroes de la Revolución”.
With great enthusiasm residents of all ages participated in a small gesture of solidarity with the heroic struggle of the peoples of Palestine and Lebanon against the criminal and genocidal Yankee-Zionist aggression against the two peoples of the Middle East, in order to show them with some photos that we do not forget how the same imperial forces armed, financed and directed the Armed Forces of the Salvadoran Oligarchy in the counterinsurgency war against our people who today suffer from an illegal president, who, although of Palestinian origin, betrayed the blood of his father and his people and sold out to the Zionism of the “Israeli” colonial regime.
PALESTINE WILL BE VICTORIOUS AND BE FREE FROM THE RIVER TO THE SEA!
