Seeing all those pictures of other people doing the great jobs in mending things, I finally succumbed and got out a pair of socks that had a hole.
The thread was broken, I suspect it was caught somewhere because the break was rather clean. It were two threads and I tried an invisible mend. Only partially successful, but it's at the ankle so not that visible anyway.

#Fiberuary - a coat made from #handdyed fiber, spun in a mix & match style.
I took six braids that where mainly in the purple-turquoise family, split them in half and then in 1 m pieces, made two equal heaps, grabbed randomly a piece and made a 2-ply yarn from it.
Then turned that into that glorious piece of knitting. It's been a few years, but I still love and wear it.

Follow up on my post below: https://mefi.social/@cendawanita/109807059333739198 - i basically had been keeping a stash of fabric that's been waiting to go to the tailors for years now. Time to bite the bullet??
Looking to make some classic bajus i reckon (the silhouette is similar to qipao or ao dai, that sorta southeast asian style). You can tell I'm into multidimensional #printed #textiles, one of them I bought with my first pay raise years ago and I've felt too precious to use. No! I must change this attitude.
A couple of those #batiks are from small artisan studios that participated in the national craft week (held annually - ohh shiii I'm in time for this year's) - I love the multiple layered stamping process that's becoming on-trend (mainly because they're shoo-ins for display at the main hall because the technical complexity is sublime). The rest are modern stuff - they're still cheaper than Liberty London tho. I still think about handsewing them! 🫠

Wunderbare Anregungen für #Handarbeiten welcher Techniken auch immer!Zum Thema dieser Woche ein #Osterei aus meiner #Klöppel|phase, hergestellt aus #bunt verlaufend eingefärbtem Baumwollgarn: das Ei mit Rand im Ganzschlag und einer Flächenfüllung mit Formschlägen. Es wird bald wieder den #Osterstrauß schmücken.
