We are happy that you are also on social media and in particular on #Fediverse. This reaffirms the importance of social media and fediverse in particular.

I would suggest, therefore, the opening towards @Meta regarding the permission to be able to share on Fediverse from Threads also for European users. +In my opinion, there is no reason not to allow it, no violation of privacy or anything else.

Why are we, here in Europe, still not allowed to activate Fediverse Sharing on #Threads?

There would be no real and serious reasons for this announcement, except for the too restrictive impositions of the EC that fails to understand that, in doing so, discrimination is created between users, instead of protecting an alleged "privacy".

This morning (March 21), here in Italy on @Threads the option for #Fediversesharing appeared for a while. After a few minutes of "spinning wheel" spinning, she disappeared.

We don't know if it's proof (it went wrong) or mistakes, but this lack of option, for us European users, is now very boring.
The gap should really be bridged with American users, who can choose whether or not to share on Fediverse. We can't choose anything yet.

I know a lot of people on here don't like #Threads, but I do think so far it is mostly adding a lot of content folks want. I have friends and acquaintances that haven't/won't join the rest of the #Fediverse yet, but I can follow their #FediverseSharing-enabled Threads accounts. I've yet to see any harm caused by being federated -- far more harmless than getting e-mail from Gmail on my mail server! @GrahamDowns Yeah or re-post. I've done it multiple times, but for some reason people are not very into enabling it. Opt-in is a very limiting thing and seems to not work in practice. What's the point if only 0.1% enables sharing?

I surprisingly came across lots of photographers on Threads today who had Fediverse Sharing enabled. I felt like I was catching rare Pokemon lol.

It still feels pretty surreal being able to follow them from here on Mastodon.

Now if the DJs (and journalists, and bands, and artists, and emergency services, etc, etc,...) can also enable it, that'd be great.

(And if @pixelfed could display their posts, that'd be great, too).

I just realized that, although @pixelfed lets me follow Threads users who have Fediverse sharing enabled (e.g.,
@reuben, @ryanbates, and @friskygeek), it looks like their photo posts aren't appearing when viewing their profiles in Pixelfed (despite my following them for weeks now). How should I go about reporting this?
