  1. "…for the past year I’ve been experimenting with a form of #socialmedia called #federatedwiki. And it’s radically changed how I think about online communication & collaboration.
…just imagine that instead of blogging and tweeting your experience you wiki’d it. And over time the wiki became a representation of things you knew, connected to other people’s wikis about things they knew.

I’d like to introduce two different approaches to the Web: #TheGarden and #theStream."

  11. Hi @Jermolene

Given the wiki-ness of #TiddlyWiki, is it a stretch to think of a #FederatedWiki of Tiddlywikis? Taking the liberty of CC'ing @k9ox 😀

    I think something like a
#FederatedWiki might be https://anagora.org/index by @[email protected], but I'm not very sure, and I don't think it federates via ActivityPub but rather it connects to it via a bot...

Haven't really looked much into it though...

  16. @trondhjort @marick @newcrafts @kentbeck I'm just wondering if we could use Ward's Federated Wiki for this: possibly writing this book together? @k9ox

We have some experience with supporting collective writing of books.

  26. @rgb Thanks, I didn't
have #MillerColumns in my vocabulary. Very useful. I used to love the #SmallTalk browser (until I tried larger projects), hadn't connected it. to the #MacOs #Finder (which I find baffling TBH) nor #FederatedWiki (which is not unexpected, in hindsight, given @k9ox background in Smalltalk).

  31. @rgb Last time I looked at #FederatedWiki, there were no farms. Looks like it's moving in the right direction!

Today, searching for "farm" on fed.wiki.org yields several hits but nothing that would guide a newcomer to a list of open farms for getting started.
