Pokémon X&Y (main fandom, forever fave)

Pokémon in general, Mob Psycho 100, Yakuza/龍が如く, BEASTARS, Yume Nikki, .flow, The Legend of Zelda, Petscop, Ace Attorney (not as much as i used to, but i'm still fond of the OG trilogy and the first Apollo Justice), Stardew Valley, Undertale/Deltarune, musicals (mostly French ones but i'm also fond of Jesus Christ Superstar among other things) Assassin's Creed (2 and Unity mostly) Final Fantasy (7, 9, 15) and i guess i'm getting into Arcane a little bit but we'll see where that goes lol.

mostly art and fic, i think? some animatics/animated videos/animations. i've been getting into podfic slowly... and i can always enjoy cool graphics, especially old-school 100x100 icons.

Favorite fandom type(s): mostly video-games! a lot of eastern or eastern-influenced ones, but i also like other kinds. i sometimes dabble in animanga.

Favorite themes and tropes: Dom/sub, loyalty kink, playing with identity in all kinds of ways, BDSM. i also like horror a lot!

Favourite fandom type(s): Anime and manga. Mainly involving #KyoAni/#KyotoAnimation stuff, although I dabble in a lot of stuff. My AniList would probably tell you more about what I'm into

Favourite themes and tropes: I'm not too familiar on what is exactly a trope; but I guess Iyashikei, slice-of-life, subversion, Ikuhara-inspired works, characters exploring their identity, maybe Danderes?

Shipping, gen, and/or other?: Kinda both; although mostly in terms of "consuming" fan art and the occasional memes here and there?

Do you create fanworks?: Not really. The most I've done was probably type set a few Kaguya fan one-shots years ago, and maybe make memes once in a blue moon?

Are you comfortable with NSFW?: I can exist around it and don't mind looking at NSFW stuff, but I don't actively seek out NSFW stuff.

Anything else?: I used to be a bit more involved when it comes to subreddit and Discord servers; but these days I've kinda stepped back from Reddit and I'm only seriously involved in a few Discord servers.

Favourite fandom type(s): I dabble in everything, but most often (western) TV/movies. sorry to everyone that i'm currently on some sports rpf bullshit right now, though.

Favourite themes and tropes: nearly everything here comes back to pining. give me messy and confused yearning of all stripes, and i am happy. fake dating? arranged marriages? had a messy breakup but still in love with your ex? carrying a torch for your best friend for literal decades (or millennia)? i love all of it.

Shipping, gen, and/or other?: i tend towards shippy (see: love of pining), but i enjoy and create all of the above!

Do you create fanworks?: primarily a writer these days

16. What are 3 tags that will make you click no matter what?

I will absolutely avoid some tags no matter how many others I like. But apart from that I'll click #WangXian fics if they have:

Hurt/comfort, obviously :)
Post-canon getting together (I can't get enough)
Kid fic or the equivalent (those have a great chance of being fluffy, domestic, adorable, and maybe include some h/c for finding your family/ your home)

15. What's your favorite #trope?

Hurt/comfort, if it qualifies as a trope this is probably my super-trope. It's a part of so many tropes I enjoy (depending on the fic, of course), e.g. arranged marriage, one of them going BAMF to protect the other, curse fic, sex pollen, mpreg, kid fic, body worship, touch starvation, a/b/o, even found family. Even mutual pining or only one bed can have a h/c component. I really love when they take care of each other (or of their child).

13. When did you last travel to a con, concert, fanmeet, or cupsleeve event?

I haven't traveled to fandom events. I've attended several Worldcons (one in person and some virtually) but I don't know if loving SFF books qualifies as a fandom :D

14. How did you get into your current fandom?

I serendipitously came across several tweets squealing "ancient gay Chinese" and "they're married and have a son", plus this gif 😍

11. Rare-pairs, big ships, or gen?

Big ships (#WangXian is canon and #YiZhan has millions of followers in CN) but I occasionally read gen fics or other ships, rare or no.

12. Are you multi-fandom or monofannish?

I'm so monofannish I feel like the odd one out sometimes 😅 I'm not even a shipper really, don't care about most ships. I'm impressed by others' capacity to love a whole collection of couples. For me, #TheUntamed feels like a once in a lifetime thing, it's perfect.

9. Have you ever met a fandom friend irl?

No, but it wasn't really possible, what with joining fandom right at the beginning of a pandemic.

10. What's the last fandom merch or craft you got?

I had @wangxian battle couple printed on a mug, and I got a very soft blanket with a red/black/white floral design plus rabbits that says "Yiling Wei sect". (This was long ago, I don't buy a lot of merch.)

7. Who's your ult OTP?

@wangxian all the way, I've never cared about a fictional couple like this. I'm of course fine with fic where they have previous relationships as long as they aren't dwelt on excessively, but I don't want to see them paired or poly'd with others, especially not jc.

4. What was your first fandom?

Star Trek The original series and the novels for it. I especially love #Spock and Kirk.

5. How often has fic made you cry?

I don't cry easily but I read tons of #fanfic 🤣 So still quite a few times.

6. Rec a fic that you love!

One of my absolute favorite @wangxian fics is "Always knew you were magical" by jeyhawk, a modern AU with magic, lots of pining, hurt/comfort, adorable #WangXian and a curse.

I know I'm late but I've been wanting to do this #FandomFriendingMeme, so here we go :)

1. How long have you been in fandom?

I only joined a fandom almost 3 years ago after watching #TheUntamed. That was the first time I wanted to find others to fangirl with because I couldn't contain my feelings.
Before that I've had fannish feelings mostly about #StarTrek (I love TOS, TNG, DS9, the TOS novels), but didn't look for other fans or for fanworks.

17. Fav fest you've prompted/read/written for?

OH MAN this is going to show my age but I LOVED the #SGA Harlequin Challenge that ran on the SGA Flash Fic community years ago. The sheer number of amazing, delightful, id-fulfilling stories that came out of those challenges was absolutely incredible.

16. What are 3 tags that will make you click no matter what?

This falls into the "I am completely agnostic about this" category for me. I don't really track or use tags when picking what stories to read. My friends call me a fandom sea sponge: I'll just go into a show tag and start clicking at random. At most, I'll sort by hits/kudos/bookmarks, but from there it's kind of a free-for-all. I have a very "fuck me up, fam" approach toward reading.
