@ErikUden This is not new. Previously, they restored pig brains. Of course, they only restore a tiny fraction of the brain just for tests.
The last time they fully restored consciousness of them, it started to speak in reverse and began insulting the scientists/ not for real; my imagination.
Due to ethics, just parts of the brain. 💡

These tapes narrowly survived donation to San Francisco's Community Thrift (which is still in operation, something of a miracle), thanks to my efforts.
