It's been a while, and means I might be able to get budget again! Probably not, but it's worth trying...
Enterprise work is where things like design systems really shine, *if* you can navigate the many corporate minefields that make it difficult, and *if* the _intent_ of the system is carried through / matches with the intent of the products using it.

I'm going to be doing some things on #enterpriseUX on YouTube, which I'm excited about. The first video will be up next week. I'm new to YouTube, but as a long-time listener of the Cortex podcast, I have somewhat of a sense of what I'm getting into. (My goals are modest here, but I want to get more comfortable with video as a format.)

I'm on to my chapter on enterprise product strategy and management. I mean, this could be a whole book, but my primary audience is UX designers so my goal is to get the whole topic covered in ~4000 words (target length for chapters).
I spent a month on each of the first two chapters so I'm expecting this one will be about a month as well. But we'll see...

The Southwest Airlines meltdown over the holidays? Creaking legacy software that had long been recognized as a major problem for crew assignments. A recent Odd Lots podcast covered the debacle from the software perspective and is definitely worth a listen.

I’m a #ux director in #EnterpriseUX and lived in #seattle a majority of my life. I talk about #ia, #a11y, and #ServiceDesign on and off as well. I’m a long-suffering #SeattleMariners fan, along with #OLReign #SoundersFC (#ebfg) #SeattleStorm and #SeattleKraken. I’m very vocal about supporting and protecting #lgbt kids especially #trans kids. A bit of an #exvangelical but mostly just #tired.
