24 hours on a train for a conference?! That's what I did to travel to #ElixirConf EU in Málaga. My takeaway: It's worth it! Flying emits 18x more CO2e and I can be productive while travelling. Plus, trains are cool. Win-win-win.

Every time google tries to shove AI down my throat by offering to "polish" my emails, I keep reading it as the noun "Polish", as in the language of Poland. Which maybe actually would have made a bit of sense for the last couple of days here in Kraków for #ElixirConf?

Almost a year since my last post. Finished my last Python project so this old brain no longer needs to try jumping between Python and Elixir.

Planning to start working through Elixir in Action, Third Edition by Saša Jurić. But first, finish watching some ElixirConf2024 videos I could not watch in real-time. Then, on to the learning (fun)!

🔥 A little bummed not to see any formal discussion of LiveView 1.0 targets during #ElixirConf.

I'm not sure what the hold-up or blocker is. I see them planning an RC7 on the CHANGELOG. In the past, I've seen the team use the Milestone feature of GitHub to track issues that need to be resolved, but even that is missing.

I say this with the most selfish of interests and feel bad even sharing this internal thought since this open source work, that should not feel pressured.
