Just #disassembled a #smarthome #tasmota #smartplug, the Refoss P11. I bought 4 for ~43€ incl. shipping. Thats ~11€ shipped per unit for a factory flashed Tasmota device with power measurement and switching capability.
Protective earth is connected with AWG24 =~0,205mm², but resistance is low/ok. The input pins are directly soldered to the PCB.
Temperature sensor and power meter need to be manually calibrated to show reasonable values. ESP module pinout: search for tywe2s / esp-02s.
Lots of vias in the traces that carry mains voltage/current.
The input MOV got VDE printed on it. Capacitors are SAX branded. Relais is wrg rj-ss-105dm63-f, which got a datasheet with reasonable content. Contact spec in the datasheet lists 10A resistive, not 16A as printed on the relais/device.#electricians #electronics #electronicengineer is 0,205mm² ok for protective earth connection?

CW: Boring introduction
With the sudden influx of new users, time for another #introduction.
I'm an azure-winged magpie living in #China doing #embedded software development for #PublicGrid monitoring and testing tools. Unlike most of my #ElectronicEngineer colleagues, I am a 100% #software nerd with just enough #hardware smarts to be dangerous. I design embedded #frameworks and #libraries that my colleagues lack the foundations to do create. I chiefly work with the #STM32 line of #MCUs.
