@JohnsNotHere I used to go quite a bit, and have spoken there a few times. As conferences go, it's not too bad. However, I keep drawing a firm line on supporting EC-Council. I even got offered to speak again this year but turned them down.

Yeah. I successfully finished my exam for the Certified Cloud Security Engineer.
Together with the Certified Application Security Engineer and the Certified Ethical Hacker I learned to build, maintain and destroy secure applications.
Now I can quit and do something with wood like the pros here on infosec.exchange 😉
Honestly I often think I know soo little compared to others and I often stumble about problems. -

I got #infosec sales spam from a sales rep at #EcCouncil (ECCouncil.org). I have a vague recollection that I've read stuff in the past suggesting they're a bit iffy. This impression was reinforced when I clicked the unsub link. It required my first name, and after I submitted that it took me to a second form which asked for my email address. They obviously don't need my name to unsubscribe me, so why ask for it, and why the two-stage unsub process? Seems a bit iffy. Any thoughts?
