@deviantollam I just had the opportunity to test my tubular pic from "Blue Group Gizmos" for the first time. A friend of mine called after their quick access safe had a battery failure and he has long lost the key.

I was worried it would be fiddly or I would need to spend some time dialing in the tension ring.

NOPE!

Lock popped open in two seconds.

I then re-locked it and handed the setup over to my friend and he opened it faster than I did :D

Such a handy gizmo.

Next old lever lock from Abus picked.
The tension point is in the middle and it has three levers in the front and three levers in the back.
The "door" made it a bit challenging, tried to hold it open with duct tape but that didn't work so i picked it without holding it open.
Could open it holding it in my hand, tensioning with thumb and index finger on the short/wide pick, picking with the longer pick.

I get better in opening old lever locks.
Needed some time to try until i got them opened, but finally it worked.
The silver one i could open holding it in one hand, tensioning with my thumb and picking with the long pick in the other hand.
The Abus i don't got opened in my hand so i used the vice. It was a bit trickier because the point to tension was in the middle and two levers in the front and two in the back.

TIL public parks in Spain close at a certain hour, at which point they just lock all the entrances without checking who might be inside.

In other, unrelated news, my hobby of #lockpicking finally came in handy today and I'm back in my hotel room.

And there are so many references to locks in Shakespeare (and even more to Lock Picking) that I now want to hold some kind of locks exhibition with a fake love lock wall people can add things to.

It is in no way an excuse to get people to give me interesting locks that I get to keep after the exhibition.

Am Freitag Abend werden wir mit der Blitzöffnung in das Sperrtechnik-Colloquium starten.
Samstag geht es mit der Hangschloss-Öffnung weiter.

Today was the first time i picked a dimple lock 😍 🥳
Tried with cheap chinese picks first but no luck.
Today my new dimple picks from Multipick arrived and it took only a couple minutes to pick that lock.

And back on the subject of me being a lock picking bore, I've just picked the weirdest feeling lock I've ever had a go at.

It's from a bundle of front door locks (Euro cylinders) that I got from a locksmith on ebay, and the only way to describe it is that it feels like the inside is coated with rubber.

Managed to get it open, but a very strange sensation.

Wir haben nur noch einen Schlüssel für das Schloss. Habt ihr eine Idee, wie/womit ich den Zylinder auf Nullposition zurückdrehen und den Schlüssel zumindest wieder ansetzen kann?«
