  1. I'm looking into enrolling in the #CISSP certification. I have no IRL CISSP-possessing colleagues to vouch for me. One needs proof of past full-time employment, it's not just the passing of their exam. I have the experience, but now I'm trying to get the HR departments of Sophos and Business Objects/SAP (past employers of mine) to issue records of my past employment. They're tricky to contact and prove identity to, as I didn't keep my own records very well for those past jobs.

  2. i helgen är det Monacos F1. Det och plugget ska jag satsa på. #F1 #CISSP

  3. Ever passed a test but forgot everything immediately? 😬 This video dives into a CISSP experience where memorization wasn't enough. It's a reminder that true understanding goes way beyond the textbook. Check it out! #CISSP #CyberSecurity #Knowledge

  6. Ok people, talk to me about #CISSP - recommended pratice sites, books etc, all the information you have, all of it. 😁 - Value in the UK ?
  7. I let my CISSP lapse because I didn’t want to do all the CEUs and paperwork associated with them. I *can* pay them a bunch of money and retake the certification exam to be reinstated, but what’s the damn point?
I’m still not going to want to watch a jillion hours of vendor webinars about their latest product releases and how they’ve integrated LLMs into the static analysis or EDR tool they make.

  9. On my way to the ISC² Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification I will start with the Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) as a recap and foundational knowledge.

I‘m using the official ISC² Online Training. Are there any good recommendations for additional learning and preparation resources?

  10. Just passed the #CISSP exam on my first attempt!

Big thanks to @SkillCertExams — their practice questions were incredibly accurate and well-explained. Studied for 6 weeks, focused on understanding concepts over memorization.

If you're preparing for CISSP, I highly recommend using quality practice questions that mirror real exam logic. You got this!

  14. The CCSP study guide and practice test book together are the same size as just my CISSP guide. Wild how much smaller they are — makes me feel like this won’t be nearly as bad. Definitely feeling more confident tackling this cert now. #cybersecurity #Infosec #CCSP #CISSP

  15. I'm studying for #CISSP after 9 years of being #cybersecurity practitioner and 24 years of working in IT as a whole.

Some questions/theory in there is so old that it hurts (and I can totally imagine how the course may be hard for youngsters who for example never have seen nor erased an EPROM with UV light).

Some parts are hard for me as an European, because I didn't deal much with US laws and standards and have to memorize them now.

Some parts are just tiring as I am constantly re-learning them and forgetting again over the years, like the subtle differences between various roles in data management or the many abbreviations which are variations on the same in different contexts - many key indicators, formulas etc.

TL;DR: I hope I'll pass and then don't need to repeat it for a few years... I don't like certifications, but in this world, they're a handy proof of "knowledge" or at least of ability to memorize a lot of stuff.

Also, a friend of mine is trying to persuade me to go for #OSCP - and that one is something I'm both intrigued with and afraid of it 😄

  23. #CISSP Renewal Real Talk: We're actually willing to give ISC2 $135 (marked as Past Due from Nov 2024), but are balking at wasting an hour trying to fill in the activity hours (we almost certainly did) required beyond the ones they didn't automatically get from SANS. Or maybe I didn't do enough those years? 🤷‍♀️ +10 Imposter Syndrome points for us, yay. 1/2

  24. I'm happy to announce my #CISSP certification has been endorsed and approved by #ISC2 🎉 Another badge to add to the profile, and I'm working on a few more in #2025 🤞psafe.ly/MMHQh9
