I took this to be a parody - to the extreme!! They took every trope that we hate and even threw in all the devices we hate - unfinished storylines, time jumps, amnesia, etc.
I got a huge laugh out of waiting for the next thing we hate to show up.

Get ready to play K-Drama bingo - not only for so many romcom tropes, but also for everything we hate about romcoms, but it's done beautifully to make a hilarious show!
Our FL has financial troubles, and ends up in a fake relationship with a rebellious jaebol. His views on love change drastically with a Dynamite Kiss, but then he later finds out she's a married woman whose only goal is to secure full-time employment to save her family.
The torture this poor man goes through when, under duress, he goes back to his father's company, and ends up as the FL's boss, is excruciating to watch - but like a train wreck, you just can't stop.
Amazing chemistry, acting by all is wonderful. The last episode has almost everything you hate in a drama - but it's intentional & very funny!!

I think the absolute wreck was intentional.
If you think about all the things we hate about K-drama endings, they are all there.
Frex, a dropped storyline. Not only did they bring back the dropped storyline in the last episode, they dropped it again! :rofl:
They threw in multiple time jumps (which had no purpose), amnesia - which is always an eye roll. Side character stories forgotten & others wrapped up too quickly.
I feel like it was totally planned to make the last episode feel chaotic & rushed - another thing we hate.
Scenes from the beginning of their relationship had iconic visual elements that made the recreations during the last episode possible - this had to be planned from the start.
The more I think about it, the more I appreciate how funny it is and what a masterpiece it is!
Several dramas have thrown in every trope to be funny, but this is the first where they threw in things people hate for laughs.

This couple had a fabulous sense of comedic timing, as well as sensuality that is quite rare in #kdrama. Loved to see Jang Ki-Yong flustered to accept the award!

Don't get me wrong, #DynamiteKiss is a fabulous #KDrama! Beautiful characters, lovely story, funny scenes, and many suspenseful moments. And, not least, two wonderful songs: “Say You Love Me” (Wendy) and “A Lie That Says I'm Fine” (Jeon Sang Keun). 🥰
But... the last episode seemed a bit too "compressed" to me. At 20 minutes from the end, I was worried: how can there be a happy ending in so little time??? I would have preferred the ending to be done more slowly, maybe with 1 or 2 more episodes.

Day 26: Most disappointing drama of 2025. This really has to be #DynamiteKiss. The title, first episode, and the leads, all pointed to a strong drama. Yet it failed. Good characters had mishandled fates (Yu Ha Yeong), and the leads’ chemistry fizzled out fast, thanks to their lies. #EYDC2025

I knew I was right in pinning this as a Christmas KDrama, especially “Love is” by Sondia. But alas, that’s the end of this drama. My favourite part turned out to be Yu Ha Yeong and Kim Jun’s new mother-son relationship, and not the leads. #DynamiteKiss

That entire last episode felt like time allocations were given to the wrong subplots. The leads’ ending were given so little compared to the amnesia, nothing for the second leads (Jun 😭). That ending sequence was probably better than most of the last episode tbh. #DynamiteKiss #키스는괜히해서 #KDrama
