Lots of stouts and good food this week, gotta ease up for a day. The kids brought me #lefthandBrewing Belgian White Nitro.
It’s a wheat beer for sure. Coriander spice and orange peel, smooth from the nitro. Summer stock!

I did, however, drink TWO IPAs on Saturday, a Hooey from #lupulinBrewing and a #surlyBrewing Furious

If today is the busiest travel day on record then I want every day at MSP to be like this! Super quick Security line, plenty of time for an airport pint.
Guinness draught is the classic dry Irish stout. Even got a proper hard pour by the bartender!

Carrot cake Belgian-style strong ale. Ruby red and 12.2%
Not sure about the carrot, very much a typical Belgian ale with that sharp quadruple flavor and a tart finish.

Working my way through what appears to be a popular #boulevardBrewing barrel-aged variety pack.
Today it’s Baltic Porter aged in red wine and bourbon barrels.
Nicely done red wine barrel aging, flavor and tannins come through. Bourbon barrels add a little sweet and zing on the finish.

Drinking some Palatki Saison this afternoon. This is brewed with my homegrown Glacier and Mt Hood/Tettnang hops and fermented with a wild yeast culture I originally captured from some juniper berries I picked near the Palatki heritage site outside of Sedona AZ.
The beer is fruity and slightly tart with some notes of fresh hay. Bitterness takes a back seat but is still present.

It's a sort of pale ale with muscato grapes, fermented with Marem berm (not a kveik, but it is a Norwegian landrace yeast) and then dry hopped with Hallertauer Blanc and Iowa grown Cascade.
The acid from the grapes combines with the citrus flavor of the hops and creates the perception of lemon (but not as sour).
