Im so tired of corporations ruining everything… #discord was a social platform that I enjoyed, and even supported with my nitro subscription, but today after the news, I unsubscribed, along with many of my friends.

I currently run a community on there so I can’t be on the #deletediscord camp just yet but I’m definitely looking for alternatives for my community! Such as @revoltchat or now known as #stoat

A really sad development.

Deleted my discord... not that I really ever used it.

But fuck all of these bullshit attempts to collect your biometric data just to access a fucking chat app.

The enshitification of everything continues.

Falls mal wieder jemand fragt,warum #Dezentralisierung eigentlich so wichtig ist: Der zentralisierte #Messenger #Discord war gestern fuer eineinhalb Stunden ausgefallen.Schuld war die #Datenkrake #Google .Gut,das ist auch so ein Paradebeispiel fuer staendige Serverausfaelle 😆 Es veranschaulicht aber immer wieder sehr schoen die Nachteile eines zentralisierten Services.Keiner der Nutzer konnte in dieser Zeit chatten.Waeren das ganz viele kleine,unabhaengige Server auf verschiedenen Hostern in unterschiedlichen Standorten,haette das nicht passieren koennen.Dezentrale Chats gibts genug,man muss sie einfach nur nutzen. #Matrix und #Jabber sind die besten Empfehlungen 👍 Speziell fuer Projektchats eignet sich auch #RocketChat sehr gut.Im Anschluss noch Screenshots der Statusseiten.Es ist einfach zu schoen,um es fuer mich zu behalten 😛 #FuckOffGoogle #DeleteDiscord
