  1. What's a reliable and reasonably priced source to buy #neodymium #magnet directly from China? In between #dealextreme going down and the EU regulation on small magnets, prices went through the roof and quality down the drain.

I'd want both round magnets to glue/lodge into #3dprinting as well as spheres and those new-ish odd-shaped ones for #fidget and #boardgame use...

"Just use #Aliexpress" is not useful unless accompanied by a specific, reliable vendor.

    #boost appreciated, as always.

  2. Ugh... the charging port on this phone is getting worse and worse...
I really need to do a proper backup (though I guess that'll be over WiFi rather than USB... unless it's only the charging pins and not the data pins that are affected), as well as look more diligently for a replacement #phone...

I'd probably have found one already if my usual webshop, #BangGood, hadn't stopped shipping to Norway from their #HongKong warehouse... Guess I should check out #DealExtreme next.

  3. @apLundell and yes, I agree, it's not a product review, though it could be a service review, for which the site might not offer a separate field?

Dunno, never used #AliExpress. Usually just stick to #DealeXtreme or #BangGood.

yeah my current phone, a #Xiaomi #MiA1, cost about 160 bucks when I bought it about 2 years ago, before that I used my father's #Note3 after he passed away, and before that I used a #Doogee #DG800 "Valencia" which I'd 'won' for 15 bucks on #DealExtreme several years before. So, yeah, my phone budget definitely has no room for an #fxtecpro1 or similarly priced #smartPhone.
Besides that, I'd be too afraid to drop it and ruin such an expensive device.

I've been an enthusiastic user of #powerbanks for more than a decade now I think. I started off with a small 2600 mAh I had ordered from #DealeXtreme a long time before most people around me had even heard of them, and nowadays I always have 10,000mAh one in my jacket pocket, and pack 2-3 when I go on longer trips, so I have a fresh one while the other is charging on an outlet.
Leaving a #powerbank at a public charging station is far less risky than my phone.

  6. @fribbledom I tend to order them in bulk from Chinese vendors such as #BangGood & #DealExtreme (dx.com/s/cr2032?cateId=0&cateN).
They tend to be a lot cheaper, shipping usually is free, and I haven't really noticed shorter battery life.
Since several of my outdoors visibility equipment such as LED armband and bike lights still rely on them, I go through enough of them yearly to make bulk ordering worth the wait.

I really should replace more of my equipment with USB rechargeable alternatives though…
