Deadstream is perfect spooky season viewing. It's an extended horror/comedy satire of YouTube and Twitch anchored by two great performances, a creepy setting, some cool ghosts, and a sense of humor that never failed to put a smile on my face, even if there were a couple of leaps in logic. It's a low-budget gem that's now in my October rotation.

A big recommend for the 2022 #horror/comedy movie #Deadstream
It's kind of a Blair Witch for the streaming generation, and has no right being as good as it is.
It feels like a film format that could only work now, and probably just the once.About an obnoxious streamer who partakes in a challenge to spend a night in a haunted house, live streaming the whole thing.
It's spooky in parts, with some effective haunted house vibes. Some parts are laugh-out-loud funny also.
Catch it on Shudder.

CW: Deadstream Spoilers
@RichTate @MevsMatze @stina_marie #DeadStream was an odd duck for me. The protagonist, if he can be called such, was thoroughly unlikeable. So, I supposed seeing him screaming in a haunted house would be fun, but that bit really left me hanging.
Had it not shifted gears it would’ve dried up.
But with the arrival of Chrissy, the movie ends up as a love letter to the endless schadenfreude of #EvilDead2. This salvaged what could’ve been a very dull ride.

Another #movie gem: Deadstream. I’m going to try to get my adult kids to watch over the holidays. I’m guessing my daughter will love it since she loves playing #Phasmophobia and #ClockTower. Plus she’s a live-streamer.

He visto #Deadstream. Que bien me lo he pasado. Es una peli de lo más gamberra. Me ha recordado en ciertos planteamientos, salvando las distancias, a Evil Dead. Una comedia de terror, que da una vuelta al found footage, con el tema de redes sociales y el streaming.

@sasssoul I have some difficulty reading text on my TV (it often involves constantly shifting my glasses), but that’s definitely been part of the issue.
I think I’ll need to watch this one on my phone or computer. I had to do that with #DeadStream and #Dashcam. But those require almost constant reading.

I’m about halfway through DeadStream on Shudder. I didn’t realize how funny it was going to be. Really good so far!

This film is #Shudder original, in the #foundfootage sub-genre. It’s about an obnoxious content creator who is attempting to come back after posting a video which nearly ends his career. We're meant to guess as to the contents, but whatever the case, all of his content has been demonetized, his sponsors have fled, and many of his followers have left. 1/3#horror #horrormovies #moviereviews #HorrorFam #horrorcommunity #movies #mutantfam #horrorhub
