Had no idea too much cow's milk could cause iron deficiency in toddlers. I wasn't told anything in the early 2010s as a toddler mum, just that they could have cow's milk from age 1.

Wonder if it doesn't get picked up til later in many cases, apropos of this school conversation the other day:

Student #1 (to me): Miss, all us brown girls, we all have low iron. It's a thing.

(To random Sri Lankan Aussie female friend walking past) Do you have low iron?

Student #2 (laughing) Yes!

Next time I'll ask if they drink a lot of cow's milk!

Man, after you've gotten used to #oatmilk instead of #cowsmilk in your #coffee, drinking coffee with cowsmilk kinda tastes bad.

#Milk companies need to start listing 3.5% #milkfat on whole milk labels, because I used to think it was 100% milkfat and it's #misleading.

In about 2 weeks I've gone from "I could never be #vegan I like #milk in my #tea too much" to "actually this tea tastes better with this #PlantBasedMilk than with #CowsMilk"

I don't know if it's that plant based drinks like this #Naturli bled are better or that my palate has got used to the difference in flavour.
