Have we all been lied to about spinach? From the legendary Popeye to the famous "decimal point typo" story taught in universities, the history of this leafy green is built on a massive scientific blunder.

"..many of the women he has treated โ€“ more than 3,000 to date โ€“ are able to come off medication they have previously been prescribed for anxiety and depression as a direct result of their iron infusion. It makes me wonder how many women with poor mental health are simply in need of some iron"

I just got my blood results and apparently I have anemia again, which might explain why I'm constantly so tired.

Well I got some of the blood results. I don't know my iron levels yet, which I'm really curious about now, and some other stuff.

Last time I had too high iron levels and my doctor told me to stop taking iron supplements. He also told me I only needed to test my blood every 6 months.
My erythrocyte and hemoglobin levels were just in the green area then, after being too low for very long. He said that didn't matter.

I didn't listen to him. I only halved my iron supplement intake and went to have my blood tested again after 4 months and apparently I was right to worry about getting an anemia again.

If the rest of the results come in within the next 1,5 hours I can still go to the doc today to talk about them.
