Pre-production is where video projects are won or lost.
Usually, animation skill gets blamed after a delayed scene, a change, a redo. So I'd spend most of my time improving my skill.
Later, I realized it's not about skill at all - people were outsourcing imagination AND vision.
The real indicators of an issue show up early on: fuzzy message, crowded script, a committee of opinions.

Some play in days. We played in decades.

Ten years ago, we signed up as volunteers for a new race. Today, we wrap up our last “dream-design-deliver” with Lion Heart. We started as volunteers. Ended up right in the core team. 

What happened in between? A lot.

Lion Heart Ultra became more than a race. And we got to design how it looked and how it’s remembered. 

Here it is - our longest love letter.
