  11. Very happy to be owning a physical copy of Communication Patterns by @tekiegirl.

It's full of essential advice for developers and architects, covering architecture diagrams, technical writing, compelling narratives, and more.

It's clear a lot of hard work has gone into the book because the concepts are explained so well.

Jacqui has done an amazing job. I would confidently recommend this book to all developers and architects.

  19. @Kabuku
And sometimes that's all I'm about.

And plenty of other times I'm looking to be part of a large +15 person discussion.

It's then that the low levels of dialogue here on Mastodon become obvious.

We've got ears to hear folk from around the world, and so little to say to them in response.

Imagine 1000 Mastodon users gathered together physically in a town square.

Would we be satisfied interacting there the way we do here?

You'll be pleased to hear there is a large part of a chapter dedicated to how to use email properly in my upcoming @OReillyMedia book 😉

  23. @[email protected]
    I concur.. I mean agree 😜
And there's nothing like writing a book on software architecture for @OReillyMedia to practice translating the complex into the comprehended (ok, the understood, but I just had to go for alliteration there...)

I'll be checking for complex language as I edit and there may even be a pattern in there all about keeping communication simple 😉
