Circleville's acting deputy chief of police placed on leave amid ongoing investigation - Aaron BurdCIRCLEVILLE, Ohio (WCMH) -- The Circleville Police Department announced Wednesday its acting deputy chief of police has been placed on administrative leave, making him the fourth person in a city leadership role to resign, be fired or put on leave since March.
Interim Deputy Police Chief Jon Farrelly is now on leave as part of an ongoing investigation, Circleville police announced on Facebook. The department will not be providing any further details at this time in order to "protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation."
Teenager dead after suspected road-rage shooting at southwest Columbus UDFEarlier this year, three other Circleville leaders left their positions, including the former chief and subsequent acting chief.
Former Chief of Police Shawn Baer was escorted off police department property and placed on administrative leave in March. In the following weeks, former Director of Public Safety Steven Wilkinson was hired and fired in one week, and new Acting Chief of Police Doug Davis was placed on administrative leave, with pay, due to alleged employee misconduct.
Personnel files for Wilkinson and Davis obtained by NBC4 revealed claims of a hostile work environment within the department. Then, Wilkinson came forward to allege Circleville's mayor was "terrified" of the Circleville police.
Baer and Davis have since voluntarily resigned, each receiving nearly $70,000 in deals related to the investigations against them.

OK - cops in Ohio pull a guy over because his truck is missing a mudflap. Then they sic a police dog on him while he has his hands up and is surrendering.
Apart from the utterly disgusting police behavior there are questions that are *not* being asked:
1. A very high number of white bro's drive big ol' pickups that have been modified to not have fenders or mud flaps. Are police in Ohio pulling those white guys over?
2. Why didn't one of the other police officers use his/her service weapon and shoot the police dog when the dog continued to bite and rip and shred the flesh of the driver who was trying to surrender?

In #Circleville #Ohio, a black truckdriver was pulled over by a half-dozen police officers. Despite being unarmed with his hands up, one officer (K9 unit) released his dog to attack the man (despite the other offers telling him not to do it.)
The reason he was pulled over?
...his left rear mudflap was missing. 😞
