Just to 3050m below Goose Lake, from trailhead 2650m. 4K in up rough road NE of Cooke City. 25K hike up old rocky roads to subalpine boundary w tundra. Still quite moist 👍🏽, bad bugs w only lite SW breeze. 28C when we returned to start. Getting smokier, another reason we turned back. Took spill on return w 10K to go but OK. #cilmate #hiking #dogs #montana #mountains
