Unsere Bundeswirtschaftsministerin Katherina Reiche hat auf einer Lobby-Konferenz mit Öl- und Gaskonzernen die Klimaziele der EU infrage gestellt.
Die jährliche Konferenz #CERAWeek gilt als größter Branchentreff der Erdöl- und Erdgaskonzerne. Hier treffen Konzernchefs auf Spitzenpolitiker*innen und wittern neue Geschäfte. Der Veranstalter der Konferenz, US-Unternehmer Daniel Yergin, mahnt Deutschland schon seit langem, die Energiewende zurückzudrehen und heimisches Gas mittels Fracking zu fördern. Das erinnert an Reiches jüngste energiepolitische Vorstöße.
Angesichts ihrer rückwärtsgewandten Klima- und Wirtschaftspolitik scheint es fast konsequent, dass die Ministerin sich in ein solches fossiles MAGA-Umfeld begibt. Doch es zeigt einmal mehr: Reiche macht Politik für die fossile Lobby – und führt uns damit weiter in fossile Abhängigkeiten und Kostenfallen.
