#1) It's a bit of a stretch to label photos from lake #MilleLacs as #Cuyuna. But, I like to use the tag #Cuyuna for this region.
#2) I've been tagging a bunch of content as #Cayuna and only last night realized that is the wrong spelling. I have a long history in this region, but am not a native. And, I'm a bad speller.
#3) I've edited some of my past posts to use the correct spelling of #Cuyuna. But, I guess I'll most of them as they are.

I seem to be drawn to ice houses as subjects. I guess they just present an interesting point of interest on otherwise fairly monotone landscape.
An orange ice house was a bit hard to ignore. I also like the texture of the snow.
Ice fishing season is nearing an end, so we won't be seeing many more of them for a while.

Finally, a clear sky in the late afternoon with lots of sunlight. Took advantage of this to revisit a nice area I last visited on a cloudy day.

I recently shared some opinions about the Fediverse that some folks don't like and have let me know about it. Some are willing to have a discussion, some immediately dismiss me as some kind of ill informed and thoughless tech bro. I don't think I'm either.
I'm really happy on Mastodon and would like to share my opinions about how to make it better from time to time.
But, mostly I'm here to share and learn about open source software and post my drone photos.

This photo was also from yesterday and better shows how a little sunlight makes things much better.
Imagine overcast sky without any light or shadows on the fields. Much less interesting to look at.
It's seems like an obvious truth, but it strikes home after spending several days trying to take interesting photos on overcast snow covered landscapes.
