  1. Made this drone video of large ice sheets pushing up against the shore to create piles of ice shavings. These are small, but can reach 6 or 8 feet tall. (See piles in distance). youtu.be/LRndEALaJkQ?... #Minnesota #Drones4Fun #MilleLacsLake

  2. More #Drones4Fun today. The ice is coming off the lakes. It will just be a day or two, depending upon the weather. #Minnesota #Cuyuna #Spring

  3. Have been doing a bit more drone photography this week. Took this one near Lake Mille Lacs. These are ice fishing houses, stored for the summer. #Drones4Fun #DJIAir3 #Cuyuna #Minnesota

  4. I've been away for a while. This winter I've been taking drone photos at a much reduced rate and haven't posted any for a while.

Need to get some momentum going before spring, the second best time of the year for drone photography.

  5. Came here about an hour ago to post this. Finallly, getting to it.

I just like the symmetry, shapes, and patterns in this image. I also find that red barns really help make a winter photo (subtly) pop.

  6. Sometimes the drone photos aren't that pretty, but they get you close to things you would not otherwise get close to.

  7. I haven't posted any images lately. Opportunities to fly have been limited by weather, short days, and busy schedule.

I'm also distracted a bit by my new DSLR, handheld camera.

This one is not a great photo, but it's one of the better (more interesting) images I've been able to get in the last week.

This is an interesting human made harbor on Lake Minnetonka, in Minnesota.

  8. Now, back to my usual drone photography.

Stumbled upon this golf coures under development last weekend.

  9. Is it fair that I get credit for this image or should all accolades go to the owners of this beautiful barn for placing it so perfectly for me to find tonight.

  10. Another red barn. Can't get enough of them. I was out looking for fall colors this past weekend and found that there isn't much left. But, there are little pockets here and there of faded color ready to fall.

  11. I've been out flying the drone almost every day the last 2 weeks. It's been a photographic fall season with great weather.

  12. Have I mentioned that I love these rolled hay bales. In this case, a long line of them.

  13. I am having a hard time not taking more photos every day. The colors are so gorgeous. This one took a bit more processing than usual.

  14. I was hoping there would be more fall colours in angrignon park today but I guess I'm a bit early #drones4fun

  15. It's swan season. They are beginning to group up to fly south. Also, their surroundings are getting colorful.

  16. Another drone photo from earlier this summer. This is in the western suburbs of Minneapolis.

  17. This is from a little earlier this summer. It's Lake Mille Lacs Lake at sunset.

Can't see much, but I still like it a lot.

  18. Same bridge as in photo from yesterday, but different angle. I love this bridge.

Had some great photos of this bridge in winter, but lost them in an unfortunate drone accident.

  19. This is probably my favorite image that I've taken in the last few months. I just love it.

  20. This was exciting. There are so many swans around, but I seldom get a good look at the babies.

    Adorable!

  21. It was a great evening for taking Drone photos. Nice lighting and an interesting mix of snow, ice, and open water.

These are conditions that only come along once or twice a year, if that.

Tomorrow, we loose the sun and the by the time it get's back, the snow may be gone.
