@ascentale @[email protected] @bikenite A5. In #DavisCA, I was definitely one of those people due to the #CargoQuad. When/if I get a recumbent trike, I will probably be that person in Albania...there are not that many recumbents in the country that aren't just passing through. And I assume they're passing through. I haven't seen a single one in my months here.
I missed getting a photo, but there was a guy in Pogradec who had his cycle decorated with lots of vintage lights like Quadrophenia. #BikeNite

This is something I had not anticipated when I bought a quadricycle - suddenly wheel alignment was a thing for me. I didn't realize it until I saw the tread on my tires wearing down way faster than should have been the case.

When I went to Davis Food Co-op today, same thing happened that made me ride away without groceries yesterday - a rider parked on the end space which is the only space I (and owners of other cycle frame types than standard upright bike) can lock up.
I said "Screw it" and parked in an auto spot instead. This also gives the person in the disabled spot more loading room than they'd have if an auto had parked there. #DavisCA #Accessibility #BikeTooter #CargoQuad

Rode the #CargoQuad to the Pomology HQ. Ran into some plant pathology folks doing some nut quantification work in the shed. Both asked if they could take photos of the cargo quad, immediately appreciating a human-powered vehicle that can go out in the field & do work more sustainably than a truck.

A lot of what the university is currently using huge pickup trucks and gas-powered John Deere carts to do could be done with fewer GHGs by using a cargo quadricycle like mine.
When I see large, heavy gas-powered vehicles being used in the field, more often than not they are not carrying any more equipment than what I could carry in the #CargoQuad
This compresses the soil less, too.
