Today is apparently #CarersRightsDay - I didn't know. I just searched Carers because as one am having a hard slog of it recently. I have done it for over 10 years, firstly my late mother's cancer battle and continually looking after my 96 year old Dad (who at minute has recurring pneumonia & UTIs). It gets no easier. I have done numerous diverse mental and physical work but Home Carer is by far the most difficult - 24/7 hours (for a £69 per week allowance), high stress and emotional investment.

It's #CarersRightsDay today. So here's a shout out to all #carers, paid and unpaid, and those who aren't YET carers (most of us will be at some point in our lives).
