A #DB 🇩🇪 #E10 class 113 #Bügelfalte with a seasonal train from northern Germany to #Austria|n 🇦🇹 ski resorts. Picture taken in February 2002 at #Salzburg - before the station’s refurbishment. The loco (and the first carriage) still display the “orient red” livery.

#Innsbruck 🇦🇹 Hbf, early on a Saturday morning during the winter season: in the mid-1980s a special moment for the local railfan. A number of trains for holiday makers heading to the ski resorts would pass through, like this one in full #DB “ozenblau-beige”, hauled by a Class #E10 #Bügelfalte electric.

A picture taken in the #Koblenz 🇩🇪 area in May 2006, after a visit to the nearby #DB museum at Koblenz-Lützel: a Class 110 #E10 electric is seen here working a local service composed of (repainted) #Silberling cars. This 110 hasn’t got the elegant #Bügelfalte cab design but a more traditional (🙄) one.

During the early 2000s, when based in Brussels, I frequently travelled to Germany, via #Aachen 🇩🇪. Pictured here is a #DB local service, hauled by a Class 110 #E10 #Bügelfalte, once working fast long-distance services. The car behind the loco is of the #Silberling type, still retaining its namesake design.
