We're looking North based on the landscape of #Alsace and the river #Rhine, and the cathedral should be facing West, so to the left of the picture.

I was swimming in the Rhine river about a week ago and got the worst sunburn I had in 10 years or so (probably even more). It was amazing though. The first really hot day of the heatwave and the water cooled down my body so well.
The most amazing thing to me were a swan and a bunch of Canadian geese swimming super close to me and not being scared of humans at all. I wish I had a water resistant camera with me!

On the road, err, on the rails, again. Lunch in the #DB 🇩🇪 #ICE #DiningCar as we head north, from #Basel🇨🇭SBB. Chicken and a Bavarian 🍺, always a good choice. We cross, and then follow, the #Rhine river. Travelling along the vineyards, we reach speeds of about 250 kph (on a new-built section that is).
