Ich war dieses Jahr in #Palästina, weil ich an die renommierte #Birzeit Universität in #Ramallah eingeladen wurde.
Zwischen den Städten und bei allen Dörfern im #Westjordanland gibt es jede Menge militärischer Checkpoints der Besatzungsmacht #Israel; hier ein kleiner, wo ich ein Foto machen konnte, weil er zum Glück unbesetzt war.
Fällt Euch was auf?
Die Problemursache sind nicht die „wenigen aggressiven Siedler“, die sind nur ein Symptom von Israels Staatsräson der kompletten Vernichtung Palästinas.
PS: Wenn diese Checkpoints zu sind, kommt niemand durch, auch Krankenwagen nicht, egal ob dann Palästinenser:innen sterben.

Thanks to the kind invitation of the Vice-President Prof. Dr. Iyad Tumar I just gave a lecture and a workshop at the #Birzeit University's department of Computer Science in #Ramallah (capital of #Palestine) on ”Societal data protection in the age of #AI and the digital transformation”. Afterwards I had very interesting exchanges and mutual learnings with the IT students and the staff of the university's IT department. Thanks to everyone who made this possible. 🙏

As part of its ongoing assault on Palestinian life and institutions, the Israeli occupying army carried out a military invasion of #Birzeit #University during official working hours, at a time when the campus was filled with students, faculty members, and staff. The invasion was premeditated and coincided with a student union protest against the settler-colonial army’s violence against our people and its policy of mass political imprisonment.

"Lunedì 3 ottobre 2022, intorno alle 3:00, tre giovani del campo profughi di #alJalazun, Salamah Sharay'ah (18), Khaled 'Anbar (20) e Basel Basbus (18), hanno lasciato il luogo di lavoro in un ristorante a #BirZeit e stavano tornando a casa in un'auto guidata da Sharay'ah.
Circa mezz'ora dopo, quando si sono fermati un attimo sul ciglio della strada, alcuni giovani palestinesi si sono avvicinati a loro e li hanno avvertiti della presenza di soldati nella zona. I tre, timorosi di incontrare i militari, hanno deciso di fare una deviazione. ⬇2
