Jetzt wo ein neues Civilization kurz vor der Veröffentlichung steht, habe ich mir mal wieder einen älteren Ableger der Reihe installiert: Beyond Earth. Das ist zwar in einer Gesamtheit nicht so komplex wie die Hauptteile, hat aber einige sehr interessante Mechaniken. Meines Erachtens wurde und wird der Ableger unterbewertet. Mir macht es sehr viel Spaß und überbrückt die Zeit gut bis das neue Civ sein Feintuning erhalten hat.

GM Notes for today's Chronicles of Chiron episode:

The University of Chiron in our tabletop game is a mix of University of Planet and Lord’s Believers from the Alpha Centauri video game. This melding of science and religion was itself inspired by the Supremacy affinity in Beyond Earth. Supremacy is highly technological but uses religious names for most in-game units.

The game ZEPHON looks like another rather interesting scifi 'Civ like' turn based #4X, scheduled for 2024. It's being created by Proxy Studios who made the popular 'Civ like' Warhammer 40K: Gladius and Pandora: First Contact games. It has a bit of a cool #AlphaCentauri & Civ: #BeyondEarth feel.
These worlds are a filled with "eldritch horrors and cyberpunk monstrosities" which sounds fun, and there's already a playable demo out too.
