I have been whining about #BellAliant on #Twitter - Mostly just so there's a permanent record that they can't deny - My 1G/1G fibre is currently running slower than my old ISDN according to my decade or more of #Speedtest logs.

I want to switch to the (theoretically slower) @Purplecowinternet but I can't' get cable in in this weather before the offers end.

The crappiness nearly buggered up my interview with @democracynow earlier this week too.

#Bell / #BellAliant home internet is not quite down, but definitely degraded & running very slow across #Newfoundland tonight. Issues seem to stretch across the east as far as #Toronto. hmm.

@jodieturner Programming error #BS #BellAliant broke my #Cellular contract, plain and simple. I'm also on a Class Action suit against #BellCanada for those things they do regularly that defraud customers, and take years and dollars to resolve in court. I have a collection of Bell #Lawsuits, that's what our over-priced #BCE bills pay for, their incompetence and corruption. CEO left with more money than #BellLetsTalk raised. I've saved $200 a year by dropping all #Bell #Virgin in all #Telecom

#BellAliant ( #Bell Canada) cleverly took $5 million dollars in a monopoly contract, to put in Free WiFi for visiting tourists along #Halifax streets.
Convenient for tourists that want to walk out into traffic with phones, & not support the many coffee shops & businesses that provide FREE WIFI for customers.
In return for Council money, #Aliant took all remaining payphones in rural #HRM without #cellular? 😕

@NotMyBub I'm in. I spent half my life in the Military, and can't live in my retirement home on the rural end of Halifax. When I bought it, we had a bus every day, we had TV stations, information in newspapers was why everyone subscribe to Chronically Horrible.
We had gas stations and payphones every 8-10 miles, and now we have 50kms to get gas, no cellular, they took out payphones after HRM Council paid $5million to #BellAliant. They want us to die. I've never seen the Emerg open in 40 years

Found my old #BellAliant flip-phone. They didn't have the RESET PHONE AND ERASE EVERYTHING FUNCTION in the Analog model. Everything is still there, all addresses, notes, probably photos. I charged it up, one phone entry ► Select menu, scroll down three to Delete entry, hit left key to accept, repeat X 200! Found some friends' numbers I thought I lost during phone upgrades over the years.

Found my old #BellAliant flip-phone. #TBT I updated to Smartphone & #Bell illegally broke my contact. #CRTC is useless at controlling #telecommunication monopolies, so I'm still on the #BCE class-action lawsuit, but leaving saved me $100s for faster, cheaper service ever since.
